Greta Alfaro’s work deals with the ways we behave in private in contrast with our behaviour in public, exploring the reasons of being of this lack of coherence, which she relates to the way we build our identity trough the production and consume of images. She has an especial interest in the subject of family life and family celebrations as a point of confluence of these realities. Through her work, she proposes as well a reflection about the vulnerability of life with respect to the appearance of absolute control that we attempt to create, the violence inherent in all states of calm, the always present albeit concealed threat and the critical instant when a situation changes its character.
