Tom Mills’ work is based around the realignment of everyday experience. Using an instinctive method of working, informed by Michel de Montaigne, and an awareness of perception inspired by Maurice Merleau-Ponty, the work attempts to highlight photography's potential to alter perception and its ability to form an engagement with space through a strong, personal aesthetic.
